Brief: Create a concept and design for a two storey restaurant in a structure with barrel ceiling. Dining and bars are required on both levels. Seating to be at tables and banquettes.
The concept is influenced from the cafes and restaurants of Louisiana, USA. Pavement and boardwalks inspire hard floors and use of timber. Music plays a key role and the name uses the genre of music in its name; Zydeco. As well as Cajun dishes that diners will naturally anticipate, the menu also responds to a community survey and incorporate a fusion of Asian and Western dishes with a Cajun twist.
